The system uses sensors on doors, in washrooms, and in beds to track movement, sleep, heart rate, and breathing patterns.
That data lets nurses see changes in resident health, catch early signs of infection, and respond before problems escalate, reducing hospital transfers and falls. Staff at the centre say the technology is especially valuable for residents with dementia who can’t easily communicate their needs. By reading behavioral patterns, caregivers can tailor routines to each resident, like shifting meal times around sleep habits.
