Amba and Verve Senior Living Announce Three-Year Agreement to Deliver Passive Monitoring Across Canadian Communities
Verve will roll out Amba’s privacy-first monitoring platform to support proactive, resident-centered care.
Amba and Verve Senior Living have signed a three-year agreement to deploy Amba’s passive monitoring platform across 25 Verve communities in Canada. The rollout gives Verve care teams real-time visibility into resident wellbeing while keeping the resident experience private and unobtrusive.
“We are confident that Amba’s platform for the whole care continuum will help in what matters most: better outcomes for our residents and the teams who care for them.” – Stuart Hamilton, Founder and CEO of Amba.
Amba uses discreet, passive sensors to track patterns in sleep, movement, and in-room activity. No cameras. No audio. No wearables for residents to charge or remember. The platform learns each resident’s baseline and flags meaningful changes, so teams can step in earlier instead of waiting for a fall or a missed sign of infection.
For Verve, owned and operated in Canada for more than 45 years and a repeat Canada’s Best Managed Companies winner, the agreement supports a shift toward proactive care. Care teams get earlier insight into resident needs, and residents keep the independence and dignity that come with not being checked on every hour through the night. Amba installs within existing environments, so communities adopt it without rebuilding their infrastructure or workflows.
“Verve represents everything we built Amba for: a genuine commitment to the well-being of residents, a high standard of clinical care, and a leadership team that wants to know earlier, not react later. A portfolio-wide partnership with one of Canada’s most respected senior living operators is a significant moment for Amba, and one we are proud of. We look forward to proving the impact alongside their teams,” said Stuart Hamilton, Founder and CEO of Amba.
